AMETEK PPS has the tools, expertise, and experience to design a power conversion system that not only meets your needs, but is cost-effective and is delivered on time. One of the ways we do this is by working with a customer—even before design begins—to make sure that we get the specs right, including specs like shock and vibration.
The specs are then turned over to the PPS engineering team. This group, which is comprised of seasoned test engineers and electrical engineers, is small enough to be agile, yet experienced enough to do the job right and on time. Although 12 weeks is typical, they have been able to deliver a custom solution in as little as four weeks, and you get weekly status reports to ensure that the power system design is on track and within budget.
After delivery, we provide the support that a customer needs to use the system successfully. This includes providing complete documentation and whatever training a customer requires.

Let's look at an example of what AMETEK PPS can do. For the U.S. Navy and Lockheed Martin, AMETEK PPS developed the power supply subsystem for an avionics test system that is installed on all aircraft carriers. Working closely with the customer, the system went from sketches to finished product within 18 months.
